No matter what you are going through; a traumatic divorce, loss of family member, or being fired from a job, self-care experts will tell you that the key steps for taking care of yourself. These include practicing gratitude, embracing religion or spirituality, getting at least 7 hours of sleep, reading a wide variety of books, eating plenty of nutritious foods in your diet, and enhancing your amount of physical activity throughout the week.

1. One step at a time.

2. Find yourself.

A great way to reset yourself is to engage in the act of shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing. This mindfulness practice became popular in the 1980s amongst the Japanese. Shinrin-yoku translates to "taking in the forest atmosphere".

3. Find God, again.

God has done some of his best work with people who have lost their way.

He delivers himself in others (Matthew 25:40) and calls us all, even non-believers, brethren. God knows you by name.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
